Cruising Grand, Escondido, California

Packards are classics.  I saw this 1931 Packard at Cruising Grand last night and was just blown away with the quality and attention to detail on this car.  The color is amazing as well.  There is an image below in the gallery of the soft top folded down with the wooden supports that is just incredible for a car that's 90 years old.  This is one of the reasons I come back almost every Friday night, you just never know what you're going to find.

I've been timing my arrival to around an hour and a half before sunset.  I am coming back for the light as much as anything.  When you catch these cars and people in the right light, there is something magic that comes out, the colors of the cars just seem to pop.  I'm also a glutton for the blue hour shots when the cars start on their way home with headlights blazing.

It looks like we are back to normal in some sense.  There are a lot of people coming out to experience Cruising Grand even though our COVID numbers are climbing back up.  I think with the right precautions including taking the vaccine, it should be safe enough.

So here are a few of my favorites from last night, hope you enjoy them.
