Black Oaks at Blue Sky ~ a study

Blue Sky Ecological Reserve in Poway, California is a 700-acre oak-lined canyon flanked by coastal sage scrub and chaparral-covered hills. The reserve was devastated in the Witch Creek fire in October 2007 destroying and injuring numerous oak trees. This gallery documents the impact and recovery of the oak trees in the grove.
